JMEA to host first-of-its-kind manufacturing conference

The Jamaica Manufacturers and Exporters Association (JMEA) is set to host its highly anticipated Manufacture 360° Conference on May 8 at the AC Hotel in Kingston.

The conference, the first of its kind in the country, will bring together international experts, Government Ministers, alongside business leaders and decision-makers, to share practical insights, strategies, and connections, that will enable local manufacturers to maximize the potential of Jamaica’s manufacturing industry.

With an emphasis on fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange, the conference will provide a platform for manufacturers to come together, exchange ideas and glean valuable perspectives on the industry. Attendees can expect a dynamic event featuring keynote presentations, industry discussions, peer-to-peer sessions, and invaluable networking opportunities.

Kamesha Blake, Executive Director of the JMEA, said, “This is a must-attend manufacturing event, especially as the industry is experiencing robust growth. Over the last five years, the manufacturing sector has consistently contributed an estimated $60 to 70 billion to the GDP, positioning itself as the largest contributor among all goods-producing industries; however, there remains untapped potential. The conference presents an invaluable opportunity for manufacturers across various sectors in Jamaica to come together, to discuss common challenges, learn from experts, share best practices, and collectively work towards achieving growth and prosperity within the industry.”

The conference is set to deliver an immersive, multi-track agenda focusing on industry-relevant topics, with key industry players and influencers sharing their insights.   • Jamaica Agricultural Commodities Regulatory Agency (JACRA): Contact for exporting the following:

    • Spices (including Pimento, Nutmeg, Ginger, and Turmeric).
  • Cannabis Licensing Authority (CLA): Contact for exporting the following:
